One-Tap Shield ("the app", "we") is a privacy-first call protection app. This policy explains what data the app handles and what never leaves your device.

What stays on your device

• Your contacts. With your permission, contacts are checked locally to let people you know ring through. Your address book is never uploaded, copied, or shared.
• Your call journal. Records of calls the app screened (blocked, silenced, identified, allowed) are stored only on your device.
• Phone numbers of callers. Stored locally so you can review and manage them. Never uploaded in raw form.
• Your allow and block lists. Stored locally.

What the app downloads

Once a day the app downloads an anonymous spam-number list (one-way SHA-256 hashes) from our server so known spam can be blocked. This request contains no account, no identifiers, and no information about you or your calls.

What the app may send

If you tap "Report spam" on a call, the app sends only a one-way SHA-256 hash of that phone number to our server to improve the shared spam list. A hash cannot be reversed into the number. No other call data, no contact data, and no personal information is sent.

What we never do

• No reading of your SMS or messages.
• No upload of your call log or address book.
• No advertising, no ad SDKs, no trackers, no analytics SDKs.
• No sale or sharing of any data with third parties.

Permissions the app requests

• Call screening role — required by Android so the app can screen and block incoming calls.
• Contacts (optional) — local-only check so saved contacts always ring.
• Notifications (optional) — to tell you when a call was blocked.

Subscriptions

Premium features are sold via Google Play / App Store subscriptions. Billing is handled entirely by the store; we do not receive your payment details.

Data deletion

All app data lives on your device: uninstalling the app deletes it. Spam reports are anonymous hashes and cannot be linked back to you.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

We will update this page if the policy changes; the effective date above always reflects the current version.
